Eligibility*
- The program is open to qualified first responders who are new or existing residential fiber and wireless internet customers, at all levels of service.
- First Responders – Both active, volunteer and retired Firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics and emergency medical technicians are qualified to receive the discount for the life of their account. A form of validation is required to receive the $5/mo credit. No revalidation is required to continue to receive the credit and the credit is non-transferable to other members of the household.
- The Salute $5 monthly credit may not be combined with other promotional discounts.
Validation*
- New customers must email an image of acceptable form of validation to sales@surfinternet.com to be received by Surf Internet staff to complete the validation. If validated at time of sale the customer will receive a $5 monthly credit on their bill. If validated at a later date, up to 30 days after the sale, the customer will receive credit on their bill starting with the next billing cycle.

- Acceptable forms of validation include: Volunteer or employee ID card, paystub, signed affidavit issued from first responder agency, pension certificate or EMT certification. Only one form of validation is required.
