The milestone was celebrated with township officials, Surf representatives, and members of the community during a groundbreaking ceremony held November 1 at the Gaines Charter Township Office.

Surf Internet is investing $4.7 million to bring cutting-edge fiber-optic internet to the Michigan community of 18,000 people. Construction in Cutlerville is expected to be completed by May 2024, with plans to expand into other nearby communities over the next few years.

“We are thrilled to embark on this journey to provide the residents of Cutlerville with high-speed fiber internet,” said Surf CEO Gene Crusie. “Our investment in this community underscores our commitment to bridging the digital divide and unlocking the full potential of high-speed internet.
